This Friday's choices

I think I’d better write now… before I finish off the bottle 😀

What I drank:

Muscadet Sèvre et Maine

Muscadet Sèvre et Maine

Very dry, strong flavor from Nantes. Tastes a bit grapefruity and tongue biting at first, however as you drink more of it you feel how complete this wine is, how perfect and delightful.  Definitely wouldn’t recommend chicken or some other “neutral” food as company. This wine needs a mighty opposition 🙂 I took lamb and won, jihaaa.

What Max drank:

Château Bonnin Pichon

Château Bonnin Pichon

Another Bordeaux classics.  When I asked Max’s opinion of it he said two things: “superb” and “tastes like an oak tree” 😀 And I will add that it smells fruit and is beautiful in color. All kinds of cheese (we had Castello and yellow egg cheese in stock), assorted meat, or a plain garlic steak would do.

This Friday’s a success.
