
Neulegraffiti, or knit graffiti, or yarnbombing, is a comparatively new yet very popular trend in the street art.
Its idea is simple: knit a pattern of whatever shape and size you like, take it to a public place, attach somewhere so that your creation would be visible to others, and leave. That’s it. Or, you can also report the location of your neulegraffiti in your blog or on Facebook for people to pay attention. As you wish 🙂
Knit graffiti do not spoil the existing landscape since they’re easy to remove (if necessary; however most of the times it is not necessary) , they are cheap to make, and… er… somewhat ecological 😀
I spotted one in the lake embankment in Tampere. It’s simple in technique and sewed roughly to the railing:
