A new trend in diagnostics?

A new trend in diagnostics?

Hesari wrote today that Vito Franco, an anatomic pathologist from Italy, spent time investigating Leonardo’s Gioconda and a self portrait by Mickelangelo and defined that the world’s most famous female was high on cholesterol and had a xanthelasma on her right eye, while Mickelangelo is supposed to have suffered from renal calculi.

Some of the readers would rise an eyebrow to that, others laugh or be surprised how far the medical science has gone. I have a suggestion. Finnish doctors are sharks already at diagnosing over the phone… so why don’t they start defining diseases by pics? Sending is easy. The terveyskeskus‘ telephone lines are often busy, e-mail never is 😀
